I gave the Google Bard AI chatbot a try, and wrote up my first impressions:

The responses to prompts are decently written English (ignoring some factual inaccuracies). But I felt like they were mostly pretty boring - which is good for Google's first use cases, writing drafts in Gmail and Docs.

But I was hoping for something more creative.

Best prompt: "what should I cook with [ingredients]", but don't expect a detailed recipe.
