#AI big tech is talking about #AIRegulation.

It seems a paradox, but it’s not. The goal of big tech is to stop #opensource AI innovation.

In this phase the competition is between large and centralised models managed by a few big tech, like #openai or #google, and smaller, nimbler and decentralized open source models.

According to a Google’s internal memo, open source innovation is faster and more efficient.

When big tech talks about AI regulation is actually aming at protecting themselves.

Kinda agree with this. Getting licenses by lobbying gives you some advantage. Money in play

A Belgian man became extremely depressed and died by suicide after he spent 6 weeks talking to an AI chatbot called ELIZA. The man was using the bot to chat about the environment and climate change, and how it was too late to do anything.
