I have just started Part 4 of #APrimatesMemoir by Robert Sapolsky for our #NonFiction #BookGroup #WhiteHorseBookgroup titled Adulthood and I came across this article by Robert Sapolsky about aging male baboons and the behaviours that make for a successful old age.

Something to ponder as I think it holds lessons for human counterparts.

@catblack I’m almost two thirds of the way through and finding it really gripping for #NonFiction. The way the story moves between the behaviour of the baboons, the problems directly related to studying the baboons and the geopolitical problems of Africa in general keeps the whole narrative moving along without getting bogged down.

Really enjoyed the beginning of #APrimatesMemoir by Robert Sapolsky. Very engaging writing with a definite sense of humour and it's clear the baboons are to be characters in their own right.

A shocking ending to chapter 1 which illustrates baboons are, unfortunately, more like us than maybe we believe.
