Okay, I need some recommendations from people who are still taking #covid precautions or anyone with experience in the #deaf or #HardOfHearing community.

Starting next week, I'm doing a research project with a professor who's #deaf/hard of hearing. I don't know #ASL, so I need a good clear #mask.

I would just ask him to mask, but I know the virus can hang around for hours.

I’ve recently had a few conversations about #deaf communication in sign languages.

At some point I learned #fingerspelling in #ASL and was later told that it’s extremely close to fingerspelling in german.
I am fluent in both spoken languages, but I never had any training in the full #signing language in either.

Now I am wondering how different ASL is from #BSL in regard to fingerspelling.

Could someone please enlighten me?

We attended a “Shadow Performance Play” of Into The Woods tonight at our kids school. If you haven’t heard if it (and we hadn’t!) it’s a play where actors and interpreters are on stage together side-by-side. It was absolutely fantastic!
