Hey I was on the Prolific Pulse podcast to talk about SOMETIMES CREEK the day after I got back from #AWP2023

If you’re a #writer or a #reader allergic to large functions, you may find this amusing : #poet Kay Ryan (who is wonderful, and a kind of heir to Emily Dickinson) attends #awp :

Survived #AWP2023. Truly an act against god and nature to have so many introverts in one place for so long. Wish I had prioritized the editing panels more, but otherwise I made some lovely connections and re-connections with old friends.
If I use a well-worn cliche in a poem
it is because I want all the cultural baggage
associated with the image incorporated
into the conceptual scope of the poem
to form the matrix of its mind-warping spell.
I'm leading a panel on #Translation at #AWP2023 and am curious what the translation and @litstudies community would most like to hear/learn about when it comes to #creativity and translation theory. The panelists are all published creative writers who translate, so we will be able to touch upon the unique intersection of creative impulse and translation.
What would people want to hear? What are your interests? I'd love input to help guide the direction of the discussion!
(Please boost this post so others might comment, if you dont mind)
