New game now completable in SuperSakura dev-branch: Rose Blood (#Aaru, 1996). Supports both Windows and #PC98 version of the game, although no music on the PC98 one. It's a kind of detective thriller. Was a bit tricky to get the palette-swap tech to work for night-time backgrounds, but somehow I got it to look fine. ^^;
This is still a very alpha functionality being developed in #Aaru: graphical representation of the sectors of an optical disk.
Green in for valid sectors, yellow for unknown, grey for undumped.
You can see on this one that there are 9 sessions (the 8 parts in grey are the intersession spirals)
Natalia, the lead developer of the #Aaru open-source project, have just published the latest progress report:

#Aaru Technical Committee is gathering this weekend.
We will be discussing usual themes (roadmap, next version...) but if you have any question/subject that you would want the Technical Committee to discuss, please share it with me.
If you have any questions about the #Aaru open-source project (media dump/image, file extraction...), you can contact me here on Mastodon.
You can also contact @TheRogueArchivist :)
If you're a user of #dd #GuyMager #ddrescue #dvdisaster, you should consider having a look at Aaru: https://www.aaru.app

You have three good resources to start using #Aaru:
- The documentation: https://www.aaru.app/
- A LiveCD based on ArchLinux which includes Aaru: https://archive.org/details/archaaru-2022.10.11-x86_64
- A LiveCD based on Knoppix 7.2 which includes AaruRemote: https://archive.org/details/knoppix-v-7.2.0-cd-2013-06-16-en-aaruremote
#AaruRemote is a small executable made to run on older hardware that cannot run Aaru. After launching it, you can perform all Aaru actions remotely through the network.
@bitsgalore as you know, I'm more of an #Aaru software user so no idea, but I am boosting the question.
To continue a bit on the #introduction toots, I was very honoured to present some of my work at #iPres2022 in Glasgow, about our use of the #Aaru software and the floppy dumping hardware #Pauline at the Cinémathèque suisse. The short paper is now published in the iPres2022 proceedings.

Since I moved recently to the digipres.club instance, a short #introduction is necessary. (thread 1/2)
I'm Robin FRANÇOIS, from France but now living in Switzerland. With almost 10 years in IT security, I work now as a digital archivist at the Cinémathèque suisse (Swiss National Film Archive).
I have been investing some time on data storage media, through which I discovered the #Aaru software for imaging/analysing media. I am also part of the #Aaru Technical Committee.
