Yay, got a conference abstract done and in!

Today's self-trickery was to put up the whiteboard in the middle of the living room floor and stand there writing stuff in multi-colored ink until it started making sense.

Then I did five drafts at the computer.

It's okay not to get it right the first time.

Online show-up rate was much better and someone joined spontaneously (getting the link from a peer). On campus no show was quite high (6 out of 15 turned up) - luckily my colleague suggested vouchers for lunch rather than catering. So glad we didn't end up wasting food. #AcWri

Looking forward to hosting my first hybrid #WritingRetreat tomorrow - I made a schedule and tips sheet for on campus and online participants. Hope everyone gets the space and focus they need + some networking and meeting new people #AcWri

So, I’ve been scrambling a bit to fit in research time in between volunteer duties, as one does.

Last week involved several late nights in a row. This is not playing to my strengths; I’m a lark

Anyway, I evidently ended my research session in a fit of exasperation last Thursday, because after a LOT of looking, I finally found the day‘s notes.

They were filed under the title “who cares“
