One thing that makes me wonder/worry and confuses me is that when I'm talking to other students and they mention similarity in essays that mine is much lower than theirs (theirs is avg 20%s and mine single percentiles) even though i add quotes etc. I'm not sure if that is a bad thing or a good thing. but it is definitaly a thing.

Today I got an R&R on a paper that's been years in the making.

It has made it to review 3 times since 2019, and was rejected each time (with a few desk rejects in between).

Got an EIC R&R before going to review this time and the paper that went to review was very different from previous versions. Really appreciate the editors taking the time to do this. It clearly helped.

Looking forward to getting stuck into these revisions and resubmitting.
