No specifics necessary, but highly dependent on that actor’s already having been established as sufficiently good. How did this come to pass for expertise? Just saying someone is good.
I think acting, and what is “good” in #acting, is actually a manifold and precarious thing, not easily measured, and not always clearly distinguishable from plain nothingness. #film

She's likeable and very unlikeable, honest and deceitful, direct and manipulative, unfeelingly cold and empathetic, understanding and ruthlessly unforgiving.

So far, there hasn't been a single false moment that isn't intentional and meant to keep the facts and the truth just beyond our comprehension.
It's the best #mystery / #psychological #thriller I've seen in a long time, especially for a #tv #show.
I'm not researching the #book because I want to know, but not until the #series decides.

She was one of the best. The last thing I saw her in was Elizabeth is Missing and she was as excellent as always at the age of 84.

If you’d told the version of me that started in improv 1999 at the while watching Whose Line that she’d walk into an improv class with Wayne and an accomplished improv author and introduce herself as a fellow #TheatreSports professional decades later - and be taken completely seriously - she couldn’t have comprehended it. #acting #improv

🎬 #BrianDePalma's "The Black Dahlia" (2006) is in rotation @ Starz. I've watched bits of it a few times. The #movie based upon the 1987 #JamesEllroy #novel, adapted for the screen by Ellroy and #JoshFriedman.
The sexism (true to the film's late-40s setting) and violence were too much for me, but I enjoyed #ScarlettJohansson and #HilarySwank's performances. And #JoshHartnett and #AaronEckhart make a cute couple.
