Anyway, Supes gets back to the spies in time to see Munsdorf kill Kolb and a third dude and then turn the “ultra-modern atom gun” on Superman, which results only in my favorite panel of the book. There’s more drama when the garage Lois is stashed in catches fire. Eventually Munsdorf tries to kill Hunter, Supes blocks it and passes it back to Munsdorf, killing him. 8/

Clark gets Lois out of there and stashes her in the garage at the profs house. There he finds the real bad guy, Baron Munsdorf, frees Prof. Hunter, and we learn what’s really going on… 6/

We break to see the sheriff who Clark called dispatch two patrolmen to Brentville. Back in town Clark wakes Lois up long enough to give chase to a car with four men wearing gas masks. Meanwhile, the patrolmen hit town and promptly fall asleep while their car speeds through town towards a child asleep in the road(?). Realizing he needs to act quickly so he… acts. 3/

He tells the police in the town next door there’s trouble. The professor is confused. Before Clark can speak further the assistant, Kolb, calls Clark crazy and tells him to leave. Then Kolb turns unnecessarily aggressive… 2/
