So I just saw that Twitter gave NPR with a "state affiliated media" tag.

That got me thinking, though I doubt it's original.

All the actual state affiliated services should not be on the Twitter, Facebook, or any commercially run social platform.

Seems like it'd be worthwhile to start bugging federal, state, and city representatives to abandon private sector social media, and move to the fediverse.
