Brief thought on #Thread after its launch: it may become the new preferred home of texting celebrities if Meta can keep it clean (and that seems very likely), and then it is the biggest nail in Twitter's coffin so far. Potential #ActivityPup compatibility is a nice extra, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Great news! #flickr and #tumblr are considering joining the #mastodon club by implementing the #ActivityPup protocol. Soon we will be able to follow a Flickr or Tumublr user within our favorite Mastondon app. The Mastodon vision is taking shape!

Jest to bardzo ciekawy temat. Być może #mastodon i całe #fediwerse oparte na #ActivityPup wyprą komercyjne #sosialmedia i staną się nową jakościią w internecie.
Ja z tego co wiem to #tyflopodcast i #tyfloświat stoją na #wordpress i tutaj możnaby było zastosować wtyczkę do wordpressa która umożliwiłaby śledzenie i interakcje z tymi serwisami przez inne konta np z mastodona.
Fajna sprawa by to była.

Is it a crazy idea that mastodon joins the cncf? Or should it be a new foundation to support it to maturity. I don’t know how I can have been blind for #ActivityPup for so long but surely sounds like a much better road going forward and should have a good support

By the way have any of the #qt #QuoteTweet -supporting #instance operators considered creating a #Mastodon fork which supports QTs? The #ActivityPup protocol certainly seems flexible enough to do this without protocol extension. I.e. it could stay compatible with the rest of the #fediverse
It could probably be done in such a way that "vanilla instances" (those which don't support QT) show it as a normal link, + maybe a mention of the original #post 's author.
