Ich bin der Anleitung https://www.maketecheasier.com/host-own-youtube-with-peertube/ auf einem Ubuntu 22.04 LTS gefolgt. Bei "sudo systemctl reload nginx" wollte der NGINX nicht mehr starten. Das wurde mit den Snakeoil-Zertifikaten gelöst. Der certbot will aber trotzdem nicht.

Ich kann es nachvollziehen, aber aus administrativer Sicht nur ablehnen. Es gibt leider Systeme die ein öffentlich gültiges Zertifikat benötigen und nicht mit Let’s Encrypt zusammenarbeiten wollen/können. Wenn die Admins dort alle drei Monate manuell ein neues Zertifikat einspielen sollen/müssen, geht das sicher nicht gut aus.

Kudos to all #Mastodon #admin #instance. It is a lot of work and responsabilities to run a server. And they have certainly extra work with #twitterMigration

Cost, Update, backup, rules, crash, moderation, sensitive content, security, monitoring report of users, etc....

Looks like disabled.social, unlike some other servers, does not automatically populate the feeds with replies.
This may be because out-of-context replies might limit accessibility to people dealing with cognitive impairments.
This may also be that I am missing replies and incorrect, but it seems that replies do work differently on different instances depending how the #admin configurations are set.
