@joe The way I would do it: Start with the Smart Selection tool first - 5th icon down on left. Then, with that same tool selected, look for the refine too in the top tool bar. In your screenshots you have the paint brush tool selected so it won't let you refine a selection from there.

This is some design work I did for a client proposal for a #biodiversity strategy plan. Image on left isn’t finished yet; I have uet to find a suitable image for the Economic BNG component. I

I feel drained! How do actual #designers fet through that?

I also noticed #Pixabay etc having less and less decent images, making the process harder.

Currently working on a heavily illustrated 240 page book with #Affinity2 #Affinity2Publisher. It's good but does have a few stability issues - I tend to get several crashes per day so a habit of frequent saving pays off. Have not found the best method of importing Google Docs content although placing files saved as rtf seems best but tends to create duplicates of similar styles that have to be reassigned. Anyone got suggestions for a better way?

I spent nearly two-and-a-half hours this afternoon removing the background from this photo of a Middle Kingdom model boat. It's quite a fiddly outline to work with, but it's well worth the time.

I *love* Egyptian tomb models - they're so characterful, a wonderful glimpse into life in ancient Egypt, and such fun to photograph 😊

Hab das neue #Affinity2 jetzt endlich richtig testen können und bin begeistert. Die meisten Neuerungen gab es zwar bereits bei Adobe aber diese sind sehr gut und, wie ich finde, intuitiv umgesetzt. Ich zumindest hatte keine Schwierigkeiten irgendwas zu finden.

Und das man für den Preis Plattformübergreifend arbeiten kann ist einfach mega. Damit kann ich meinen alten Backup-Laptop in Rente schicken und unterwegs das iPad nutzen.

#Affinity2 Just took the plunge with V2, fed up with Adobe subs for something I don't use frequently. Very impressed so far and kind of enjoying the climb up the learning curve!
