* Spaces in hashtags don't work ( #AfricanAmericans instead of #african americans)
*CamelCase makes the hashtags easier to read, especially for screen readers used by blind folks
* you can subscribe to hashtags and have them in your home feed
* the most effective way of getting engagement is when your (interesting) toot gets boosted (especially by somebody nice with a legion of followers like @Jaden2 )
* you can boost also your own toots, useful for really important stuff, as in Mastodon everything is chronologic: older toots won't be seen easily
