Today's the 1st day of the #USAfricaLeadersSummit. Joe Asunka, the CEO of #Afrobarometer is there and just tweeted how #Botswana's government consulted Afrobarometer data in its decision to decriminalize same sex relations.
This is HUGE. Let me also say that lessons drawn from my research with Boniface Dulani using 3+ decades of survey research in Africa suggest that decriminalization will also be powerful in shaping more tolerant attitudes.
