Chand Bibi was the daughter of Sultan Husain Nizam Shah of #Ahmednagar & wife of Sultan Ali Shah of #Bijapur, both in the #Deccan region of India.
After the assassination of her husband, she became the regent to the 9 year old Ibrahim Adil Shah. Finally, she assumed the role of the Ruler of Ahmednagar in 1600 AD to defend the city from #Mughal attack
