King Chonchobar Mac Nessa was able to stop the fight between #Loegaire, #Conall Cernach and #CuChulainn at #Bricriu's banquet. #Sencha the Wise advised to appoint #Medb and #Ailill as arbiters. Only these kings were able to divide the hero's bite in such a way that no new dispute broke out for the time being.

Behind the doors of the guesthouse in Temair Luachra, the royal castle of the Érainn, a nasty surprise awaited the warriors of #Ulster. #Cúchulainn chose the largest guest house. He did not know that this one was built of iron and only covered with wood.
Late in the evening the doors were barred from the outside. With 7 iron chains the doors and walls of the iron house in Temair Luachra were secured. In the vault under the house now 3x50 blacksmiths brought the fire to blaze. The heroic warriors of #Ulster were to be burned.
How did the warriors of #Ulster escape being burned behind the doors of the guest house in Temair Luachra? Together, the #Ulster men tipped a wall outward, slaying 300 Érainn. Cúchulainn, goaded by King #Ailill of #Connaught, went into a fighting frenzy and put the attackers from #Munster to flight.

#Celtic #Legend: 'It struck me,' #Ailill said, 'how much better off you are today than the day I married you.'
With these thoughtless words the king of #Connacht in `The Cattle Raid of Cooley` aroused the spirit of dissent of his wife #Medb who was his equal in rank. The latter then gathered a huge army from several provinces to snatch a bull in #Ulster. This cost the lives of hundreds, if not thousands, of warriors.

The sight of the `Magic Kittens of Crúachan` was enough for the heroes #Loegaire Buadach and #Conall Cernach to flee into the rafters. There they awaited an unpleasand night while the magical beings from #Oweynagat, `the hell-mouth gate of Ireland`, devoured their supper.
#Cuchulainn was unwilling to flee from the beasts of the 'cave of cats'. He sat unperturbed. And every time the beast tried to get his food, he hit it on the head. But it seemed to be made of stone, which is why the sword slipped off. So he couldn't eat or sleep the whole night.

During #Bricriu's banquet, #Loegaire, #Conall Cernach and #CuChulainn claimed the curad-mir, the hero's bite, each for himself. They ripped sword and shield from the walls and attacked each other with such force that 'the enamel flew from the shields in flakes like a flock of gleaming white birds! After king Chonchobar Mac Nessa intervened, #Sencha the Wise advised to appoint #Medb and #Ailill as arbiters.
