Had to help someone setup a #Daikin #AirSourceHeatPump onto their network earlier. It had the most awful interface ever and seemed buggy as hell. Very disappointing. Once finally connected it appeared and worked as expected in #Onecta - but initial setup is enough to put me off that specific Daikin system.

Daily energy cost is higher than I would like.
#airsourceheatpump working hard to maintain 16-18C.
There's a small #eV top up in there too.
Fortunately got a pre price hike Octopus go tariff so not looking forward to next winter's bills!

Last week we had an #AirSourceHeatPump #heating & hot water system installed to replace the gas boiler. We're snug at last. No more gas!

All new buildings should have these & I wish there were tax incentives to fit these in all homes.

The electricity used to power it comes (partly) from our #SolarPV panels. We're getting there...

@Zed_Czar @BenHoare completely agree - I was trying to look into reputable #AirSourceHeatPump suppliers and #solarpanels recently and found it was a complete rat run. I’m very patient but I hit the buffers in terms of progress. It’s also finding proper advice to insulate an older property without getting damp problems. The market defo needs an overhaul. If anyone has had any good experiences I would be interested to hear. #renewables #sustainableenergy

#Selfbuild progress: treatment tank for waste is (finally) in, albeit not yet connected to the house.

And we have a plinth for the #AirSourceHeatPump.

Obviously won't be _done_, but feels like it might be something we can live in by Christmas! 🤞
