Attached is a portion of the Affordable Care Act as amended, reduced to its headings et cetera by removing the numbers and content from the USLM XML. Not all acts have tables of contents, and this is much more granular. This "less noisy" view is very useful. #AkomaNtoso #🪿

Here is the Inflation Reduction Act reduced to its headings in 20 pages by removing the numbers and content from the USLM. #InflationReductionAct #AkomaNtoso #🪿

This Javascript snippet will pull the individual #USLM headings to give an "idea" of what an act is doing. It should work within the web browser console (unsure about #AkomaNtoso) but needs the polyfill for the iterator onto XPathResult.
Array.from(document.evaluate('//uslm:heading', document, () => "http://schemas.gpo.gov/xml/uslm", XPathResult.ANY_TYPE, null)).map((result) => (console.log(result.textContent)))

We need a "simplified" view of complex legal documents for mere mortals, using basic Web standards, ie that just works™. 🤠 How can we leverage this amazingly well-designed #USLM and #AkomaNtoso data? Would be nice to have a baseline, open-source, privacy-focused, distributed webapp (eg statically-served ES modules), consuming live data direct from #govinfo. https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/COMPS-9307/uslm/COMPS-9307.xml
