Slowly processing photos from #Alaska and here's one of my favourites so far. These are humpback whales engaged in bubble-net feeding and I think I can count eight in the photo but there's no way to be sure how many were on or below the surface. We saw this spectacle a dozen or more times during this whale-watching boat ride during our stop at #Juneau and it's a memory we'll cherish.

I don't take a lot of #video and I wasn't expecting to take any when we went whale-watching last week in #Alaska (hence no windsock on the microphone, sorry) but I did hit the record button a couple of times while shooting away on the camera.

First bit: whales at a distance, just after bubble-net feeding. Second bit: whales passing close by our boat so we had to stop. Boats try to stay over 100 metres away generally; we got lucky.
