@ForfarFairLady We were just allowed to return home after being evacuated for 10 days (20 minute notice -figure what you would bring with you). Lucky - house is ok. Not so lucky are some of our neighbours - 150 homes burnt to the ground. What was a news story for certain places is happening more often in more areas. #AlbaNuadh #tantallonfire

This birch tree is almost as wide as it is tall

@palaeokatie I always preferred the geometric perfection of crystals to ‘rock bugs’. Your great examples of these intricate organisms (esp. the crinoids) have given me a renewed fossil appreciation. Maybe some site visits in order this summer #AlbaNuadh
