I can't recall of that specific prog rock musician that has an album with the word "Malaya" in it (idk if it's a false memory) but I do rather like Dream Theory in Malaya by Jon Hassell, who's a trumpeter who's *worked with* prog rock musicians.

Why the name? It's titled after a paper by an anthropologist who visited the Senoi tribe in 1930's, who have a custom of interpreting dreams (Senoi dream theory got rather popular in the US in 1960's).

Cover's a bit battered (it's from 1971...) but it still has the original Hawkwind Log booklet in perfect condition! Looking forward to hearing it again, once I've cleaned it. #AlbumOfTheDay

It felt only right to begin the “flagship series” of this account with my favorite album by my favorite band. Hellfire is the third studio album by UK Jazz Rock(?) trio black midi. I’ve seen these guys live 3 times and they slay!
black midi is a group that defies genre, and the album even more so. It is only 45 minutes, so please check it out!
