I took this pic of a lovely alleyway in Calden. Calden is a municipality in the Kassel district in northern Hesse. It is best known for Wilhelmsthal Castle and Kassel-Calden Airport, which opened in 1970.

This pic is from the Karlsaue in Kassel. The parc was built by Landgrave Charles between 1654 and 1730. It was redesigned as a landscape garden in 1785 and shows a mixture of visible Baroque garden elements and arranged “natural areas“.
