We learned about #AmazonSidewalk last year and it brought us to the realisation that appear to be turning decentralised ideals like #meshNet against us.

Starlink (SpaceX) has an ASN dedicated to serving Google (AS36492). Billions (possibly trillions) of IPv6 at the ready, and 90,000 IPv4.

Its perfectly reasonable to assume #televisions, #cars, and God knows what else are connecting to one of these without us even knowing it.

We are concerned that #AmazonSidewalk might be designed to create a #closedCorporateInternet.

If we are going to go down the route of a #meshNet then the #technology must be open. This means #openHardware (in so far as #circuitry that is #printable).

What #Amazon is creating is a disgrace to an open and supposedly free society.

We are considering whether a recall of their #AmazonRing, #EchoSpeakers and other products should be enacted.
