Thanks to Newswaffle in the Gemini Space, I can now do most of my news reading using Lagrange on Android, and amfora on Linux.

@kelbot i get around 5+ hours on my very similar #DevTerm with A04 and only 2 cores running + wifi and #amfora/ #gomuks running. Stand by works. I already ordered a #uConsole and i will try the #RaspberryPi SoM first with it. The R01 and A04 are also on the list to try out. The R01 is very slow, hasn't better battery life in the DevTerm and isn't supported well imho

You not just want to open https URLS but also follow a #Gemini link, somebody posted in a toot?
Simply add this snippet to your $HOME/.config/tut/config.ini in the [open-pattern] section or create it if it doesn't exist yet.
(Amfora is the name of the TUI application to display gemini pages. Replace it with your preferred gemini client or use #amfora, it's great 😉)

So, I installed #amfora this morning, and started reading around about #gemini . I am going to set up a server on an outward facing raspberry pi i have.

My slightly adapted #amfora startpage. It's now showing a nice title including the version number 🤓
I really wish my skills were a bit better though, so that I automatically could pull the version number and write it to file. Today that's still manual work. Although amfora doesn't receive updates that often...luckily I guess 😅
