I'm currently looking for a way to use normal humbucker PUs in my #Ampeg Dan #Armstrong reissue #guitar because I'd love to play #Lace D&G's (best humbucker ever imho) in there. The DA guitars have this changeable PU system which maybe was innovative 50 years ago but is nearly totally useless today since there's no manufacturer for this type of pickup form factor. I read somewhere that Kurt Ballou sold some kind of frame/adapter for using standard pickups in DAs on reverb, but he also stopped selling these, unfortunately. If someone knew a solution...that would be fabulous.
