Now that I'm back to picking up the occasional Game Boy cartridge for my Analogue Pocket, I'm wondering if I want to start replacing save batteries as a matter of course before I get too settled into playing a game. Anybody else do this? #RetroGaming #AnaloguePocket #GameBoy

Any advice for cleaning a Game Boy cartridge that the Analogue Pocket is especially cranky about reading? I got it to load fine in an original GBC, and I know it's not a KO or anything. A couple rounds of alcohol swabbing doesn't seem to be cutting it, and I don't want to wreck it.

Picked up ye olde Sonic 2 for #GameGear from the local indie retro game shop for three bucks. Popped it into the #AnaloguePocket for a test drive and uh... it was in a bit of a mood.

Eventually got it working though. Time to see if that first boss is just as cheap and obnoxious now as it was when I was young.

Finally got around to trying Psychic World for #GameGear. Not because I particularly wanted to play it, but because it's the only GG game I physically own so might as well throw it at the ol' #AnaloguePocket.

First stage was easy once I figured out the controls. Second stage had some tricky platforming, but I still got through without much trouble.

Third stage decided I shall not pass. Avoiding certain enemy projectiles takes some careful maneuvering, and this game doesn't believe in i-frames.

Just finished my first run of #PokemonEmeraldRogue on my #AnaloguePocket - and won! Really didn't expect to beat the whole thing on my first go. Might still do some more runs sometime so that I actually get to experience the #roguelike elements 😆

It's definitely a very cool romhack!
