Looking for middle names for my niece when she was born some 15 years ago, my 3x great grandmother Patience Wyeth (1844-1911) of Rotherwick, Hampshire (England) provided inspiration, helping shield her from the family short temper gene, to just slow things down.

Looks like I've tracked down one of my 3x great grandfathers to Stony Houghton, Derbyshire. John Holland (1825-1864). Week 25 #52Ancestors theme is 'Fast'.

Chance to reflect on how often we are too quick to add people to a family tree before all the jigsaw pieces in place. John's adult life was pretty fast, with two sons, his 1st wife dying after just a few years, and he died prematurely at the age of 38 years old after marrying for a second time.

Got me thinking about my 2x great grandmother Bridget Ann Dudley (1841-1922) of Leeds; big part of my 26% Ancestry DNA result; nothing to do with my dolls heads succulent garden. Had no particularly relevant photos for this story, so used as excuse to show off photos of the garden, which requires as much resilience to view as Bridget Ann displayed in a lifetime.

Another was brickMAKER's daughter Lucy LAWRENCE (1843-1896) of Hazeley Bottom, Hampshire, a hamlet that was then a centre for brick & tile making. She married George PHILLIPS (1840-1905).
