Einzig die Software die beim Smart via OTA geupdated werden kann (bereits 3 Updates) muss noch besser werden zB Schildererkennung, Navigation + Ladeplanung.

Any #Android or #AndroidAuto experts here? For a few weeks most times when I connect my #Pixel6 to my car (2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited Hybrid) it connects as USB Tethering and I have to manually change the USB connection to Android Auto. It seems perhaps it started with the June security update, and has persisted with the July update (installed yesterday). Interestingly my hubby's Pixel6 with same updates doesn't do this. I can't find any way in settings to specify default USB connection type.

A good article that pretty much sums up what the auto manufacturers are planning to do, or are doing (GM). Not having this feature is a no-go for this buyer.

#Mercedes is also creating one, I don't think I will get a single #OS in cars ever. Luxury cars will always have something else, and cheaper cars will go to the #Android and #AndroidAuto route, which would just be cheaper to connect your phone.

But yeah, #Volkswagen has been lacking in innovation for years.

Starting in 2024, #GeneralMotors will no longer offer #Apple #CarPlay or #AndroidAuto in their electric vehicles. On the scale of dumb decisions, that one ranks right up there….like WAYYYYYYY up there.

Android Auto as an update kinda doin me dirty as a Waze user. No dashboard support, they removed the weather info from the home screen, and moved the clock to the lower right corner where it's harder to see. Plus my wireless connection was interrupted more than once on the way home trying to use navigation. #AndroidAuto #waze

Does anyone know if we can rearrange these tiles in #AndroidAuto #Coolwalk? It's nice to have them but I'd rather media be larger and closer to me (driver) and the map, which I rarely use, can be narrower and on the right.

Discovered an interesting thing about #AndroidAuto today: I get text announcements from my kid's school, & some of the important ones are sent first in English, then a few min later in Spanish. You can have the Google read you text messages & let you respond. It read the English one in the usual voice. When it read the Spanish one, before it started reading, it detected it was in Spanish, switched to a different voice that had all of the correct Spanish language pronunciation rules.

Now many mainstream car makers will be installing android auto - its really hard to avoid google and almost impossible to totally escape fortunately i am bottom of the vehicular foodchain so i am ok for a while
