A flower crab #spider (Thomisidae) nabs a line-blue #butterfly (Prosotas sp.) as it approaches the flowers of the Manila Tamarind, for a quick fill of #sugar.
Master assassins, #spiders have turned the #flowering #plants very own evolutionary advantage - using #pollinators to procreate - against them, by using their honey traps, aka #flowers as portable #steakhouses.

Howdeedoodlethere everyone!
Just a quick #introduction for those who don't know me:
Hi, I'm Julian. I'm a #palaeobotanist and #palaeoartist based in the UK who specialises in reconstructing the life apperance of #extinct #plants. I have a BSc in #Palaeontology and i just finished an MRes looking at Early Cretaceous #gnetophytes (and a few #angiosperms).
That's about it really.
I do art. I love plants. Fossils are cool. And animals.... well I suppose they're cool too.
That's all for now. Toodles.
