I'll tell you exactly why I have such a fondness for #AnneRice, aside from the facts that she was an over-earnest weirdo you couldn't help but love and that her writing is simply fun to read.

It's because I find it so... so tender and funny that the first book of hers that I read, Interview with the Vampire, I only read because my then-extremely-closeted brother RAVED about it and insisted that I read it. Which is just the sweetest and saddest thing ever, isn't it?
