1Th 5:12-13 And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

These individuals make sacrifices for the body in order for them to grow and eventually come into a position of leadership as well. This requires a level of selflessness that only comes through a spirit of humility that is birthed through affliction.
Lift up the elders in your church in prayer and do not speak against them by murmuring and complaining. They serve God by helping the church become more mature in understanding.

A yoke is a wooden cross piece that is fastened over the necks of two animals and attached to the plow or cart that they are to pull, it was used a lot for farming purposes and is mentioned multiple times in the bible. Usually an older ox would be yoked to a younger ox to teach him how to plow the field.
The word for yoke in Hebrew is used figuratively of severe bondage, affliction and servitude. This yoke is described as heavy or burdensome.
Yokes are figurative of teaching. As with an older ox teaching a younger ox how to plow the field, Jesus wants to teach and instruct us in His ways, in order to bring us into a rest and bring deliverance to us (John 8:32).
