When mass-producing anti-viral proteins for medicine, one of the common methods is to use E. coli for batch production.

But this is time and resource intensive to keep things perfect for the bacteria to survive and be efficient.

Now a multi-university team have developed a cell-free method using just the internal components to transcribe the proteins for rapid medicine creation.
