After years of writing about the scenario of digital wallets / NFC payments being handy for when you forget your wallet at home, I finally did it myself tonight and still enjoyed dinner and a movie despite forgetting my wallet. What a time to be alive.

Ende 2018 ist #ApplePay hierzulande gestartet. Die #Postbank-Kundschaft konnte von der kontaktlosen #Bezahlmöglichkeit nicht profitieren, denn bis dato bietet die Postbank kein Apple Pay an. Nach mehr als vier Jahren scheint es aber voran zu gehen: Die Postbank soll laut Medienberichten in der zweiten Jahreshälfte den Support für Apple Pay bereitstellen.

Every supermarket around me has invented their own #ApplePay logo, from the 1980s rainbow Apple logo and the word "Pay" in grey Verdana. Definitely a design crime.

I am to the point in my life where if I am still expected to even insert my card into a card reader or a gas pump, I just don’t do business there.  Pay and tap all the way. No more of the chip card stuff.

As someone who has had their cards hacked twice due to an online purchase without  Pay (it was an Amazon one) and one where my chip card got skimmed at a Walmart years ago, I will say that  Pay has pretty much solved my card hacking and security issues.

It’s been sort of a 5+ year project, but it does prove my point. #ApplePay #Contactless
