8 followers · 166 posts · Server mstdn.socialAnd... I'm out of #EndeavourOS and installed #Debian on my laptop (it was already installed on my desktop). Don't get me wrong, I really like #EndeavourOS. It is fast, easy, and since it is based on #ArchLinux it has the newest software.
But precisely because of that it has ended up tiring me. I'm tired of the constant updates, the occasional bugs and quirks that happen because of them, and the sudden changes that such updates might bring. I don't have the time to think about all of that.

I've found that I switch laptops so infrequently and my desired environment changes enough between them like switching from #Ubuntu to #ArchLinux that I'd spend just as much time updating playbooks as just manually configuring things.

Ok, I'm making an arch-based distro, I've made some of my customizations and I now need to work on the installer.
IDK what to use, I have worked mostly with Python, so if I use calamares i probably can't add many features I want to it, and if I make a terminal-based installer, I think most normal people aren't gonna be happy with it! and I don't know where to start with that in Python.
My main desktop probably is gonna be gnome.
What should I do?
