I started a blog, you probably won't want to read it, but there it is.
That moment when I realize that my Arduin PC just ran screaming like Boimler from Lower Decks! And the monster was very similar!

Obscure RPG that I've played
A game of "Arduin", hosted by my friend @Tesqovara
Arduin is awesome gonzo in the way that screaming death metal big hair bands who are flying on sailing airships while wielding huge flaming swords is awesome. The 1st edition from the 70s is nearly unreadable, but so many cool nuggets that have become mainstays in RPG tropes.
And Tesquovarah has done a fantastic job of throwing us into an Arduin type setting, it's been great fun!

5) Oldest game played?
Up until last week the oldest game I had played was Arduin. (1977) Still playing it right now in fact. But last week our AD&D DM (@chgowiz) busted out a copy of Chainmail (Third Edition, 1975) for a jousting tournament. Fess Pale! Breaks Lance! Unhorsed! Injured…

I’m always looking for creative people to follow who like to discuss things, I’m not super interested in advertising.

A random encounter in my Arduin game got me thinking about the impact old Doctor Who episodes had on me growing up.
These monsters from the Philip Hinchecliffe era are some of my favorites. Technically John Pertwee was my first doctor, seeing him on PBS reruns in the 90's, but it was Tom Baker that got me hooked.
I especially loved the Seeds of Doom, with its Antarctic opening, (years before I saw The Thing) a giant, tentacled plant monster, and that synth music!
Emperor's Choice Games made a huge announcement about the upcoming new edition of Arduin Bloody Arduin!

If you could sit down and play any dungeon right now with your best friends, what would it be?

The old print run of the Arduin Grimoires sold out, and it looks like the new run is in! And it has a different cover, no doubt to match that little brown books vibe.

The next edition of Arduin is deep in development, promising to be an elegant restatement of Dave Hargrave's original vision.
Arduin walked away from the OGL years ago and never looked back. They are completely independent and dedicated to preserving Hargrave's work, who was one of the earliest visionaries of fantasy RPGs.
It sounds like there's a bunch of new Arduin material in the pipeline too. Hargrave left behind 'hundreds of dungeons'.
Already the new Arduin/Electrum campaign is taking great shape! The player’s early character concepts are already weaving such interesting possibilities for play, and I haven’t even done anything yet. I like dreaming up adventures, but I cherish what happens at the collision of different minds trying to untangle a narrative together with dice. It’s too good 😊.

For those doing #Dungeon23 , be sure to check out the #Arduin random tables for all sorts of weirdness:
"This room is bitterly cold, the floor is covered in ice and the stone walls are thick with hoarfrost. A red and green fog fills the room. Stepping into it, all magic-users must make a save against magic, or they hear distant bells and experience instant euphoria, and as a weird auroral light fills the room, they must roll 1d100 to see how many of their mana points are drained away.'
