Not a new idea, really, and the #Calamares installer by #Mobian used lacks a lot of flexibility that #DebianInstaller provides...
Still, this may be the first time I actually used a live installer for real and perhaps best of all, I did very little of the work!

Lately I recovered an old Segate NAS by installing #debian #bullseye. The Seagate software support ended years ago, but it is a nice piece of hardware with plenty TBs of HDDs.
The good and the power of #FOSS is also the possibility of revamping dead boxes.

I also preordered Rock 5 months ago, let's see which one arrives first and do I get either of these by Christmas. I know these might not be very usable at first before there is stable Armbian available.
I have replaced many of my PCs with ARM SBCs and as a result I have saved electricity and space. Also my office room doesn't get so warm during summer. A reasonable priced NAS is still to be built. #OrangePi5 #Rock5 #ARM #SBC
