I bought an #ARMSID from retrocomp.cz and a Symphony II cartridge from Shareware Plus. After some minor confusion (screen stays black when the ARMSID on the cartridge touches the metal shield of the expansion port, "fixed" it with a piece of paper) everything worked fine. I actually expected to be the only loon to try this combination, but it seems to be a known problem and a fix will be available in future badges of the cartridge. #c64 #mos6581 #c64
@Herr_Irrtum in this case it's an #ArmSID (set to 6581 mode) I use as SID #1 on my #uAX64MiniLong sound module. The second chip (not used by the game) is a #SwinSIDNano (set to 8580 mode)

Brilliant #ARM2SID by @nobomi64 installed π₯° Now I have emulation of 3 SIDs or SID+FM. Cable management thanks to nylon braid and the CPU adapter. No more chaos and soldering to chips pins...

#SixtyClone More testing... Serial port works. After some adjustments modulator replacement prototype works too. The image is sharp and clear. A separate stereo output allows you to connect HiFi set ans enjoy the SIDs π

So here's another #2SID tune for you to enjoy:

Live-recorded from my #uAX64MiniLong #commodore64 replica using these two SID replicas in my system:
SID #1 is an #armSID acting as #mos6581
SID #2 is a #SwinSidNano acting as #mos8580

Yesterday afternoon my armSID arrived and so today I took some time to test it by playing "Skate or Die" (EA) and the "Boogie Factor" demo by Fairlight.
So far it sounds quite well. Had used a real 8580 until now but was curious how well those armSID would replicate the sound.
