@geffrey Ha! Yes, Things -- which I first used a decade ago (😳!) -- always made it easy for me to envision and capture projects and tasks. I was VERY productive when using #Things!
I left when work forced everyone to use #Asana (and, in truth, we needed a collaborative solution for task management at the time). But now, I work for me again. When I caught myself tinkering 30 minutes to build a query to show me just the projects with tasks due today, I said, "Things could do this ages ago!"
@roguefoam @nhan #OpenSource strategies paid off well for certain tools! I remember my #NVAlt days, when a #branch of #NotationalVelocity became more interesting than the parent.
I'm more concerned about tools that are fully funded by #VentureCapital. What happens when investors tire of waiting for profits? I know a lot of tools many people take for granted -- #Asana comes to mind -- that are in peril because they still haven't learned to turn a profit (and haven't had to).
