46 followers · 40 posts · Server mastodonapp.ukOver ten years ago our only village #pub in #AshtonHayes in #Cheshire was bought and turned into what was essentially an unwelcoming restaurant. It failed and the owner applied to turn the site into housing. The application was turned down and since then, the village has been doggedly fighting to acquire and save it. The owner refuses to sell and the building has been gradually deteriorating.
