I didn't use Twitter, so I have a #HashtagEtiquette question.

If I would love to find people from marginalized groups to follow, is it wrong for me to include the hashtag for the group that I would like to hear more from?

I ask because #AutismAdvocacy is my thing. However, as a white person, I have learned so much about an intersection that I will never experience by listening to #BIPOC autistics. BIPOC often get left out of the conversation when it comes to autistic issues.

On other platforms where hashtags are not the main form of searching for people, I would never use that hashtag because it's not mine to use. But since this is a hashtag driven site, would using the #BIPOC hashtag be appropriate? Or would it be better to use #AskingBIPOCAutistics ?
