This holiday weekend you will find me at #PioneerSquare in #PDX reminding my community of the atrocities the US are continuing to inflict on our immigrant siblings. Come see me from 12-1 pm.
We continue to expand Title 42 under Biden and have children being denied their rights to seek asylum every day at our southern border. The hateful rhetoric continues from the right while the left continues to make too little progress and seems to care more about looking tough on immigration than keeping their election promises.
Shame on us all, we need to change as a society and stop these cruel acts.

I sometimes wonder if my one person protest does anything at all to disrupt those who are anti immigration. *
I get honks and waves for those who agree but feared my actions were being disregarded by those who are (IMHO) needing to change their minds or at least have it brought to mind to question their position.
But this weekend a man got so mad at my sign he ran across the street and screamed at me. Calling me names, screaming how we can’t “let more of them in” etc. It showed me my sign is still doing what is needed. It’s pissing off the right people. Going to have a bit more purpose in my walk next weekend.
*for those who are unfamiliar, I march four miles to the center of Portland Oregon with a sign that simply says “Let The Children In. Asylum Is Legal”. I don’t yell, block traffic just follow a path that I have found to have the most traffic from my home to downtown. The , typically you can find me after the march standing in pioneer square from 12-1 pm on the weekend.

Today I will be marching four miles from inner SE to Pioneer Square here in #PDX to bring attention to the continued injustice happening at our border to innocent children trying to seek their legal rights for asylum.
Due to the high cases of illnesses here in Portland I won’t be standing at the Square as normal after my march. With the rain I don’t feel I can safely mask up to talk with people. We take care of each other and adapt as needed. #AsylumIsLegal #HomesNotDetention #DefundICE

Excited to be moving over to this app from twitter. Looking for #immigration attorneys and activists to follow. I find most of my updates about the border here in the US come from those helping/working with our immigrate siblings. Any suggestions please send my way! #AsylumIsLegal #AsylumSeekers #immigrationlaw

I started my solo marches in 2019 and have been announcing them on twitter until now. I will continue my protests and bring attention to those being denied their rights at our border on this platform going forward as well as bringing news articles on the subject. #AsylumIsLegal
