Took the kids & my Dad to the Feared/Revered Feminine Power through the ages exhibition at the National Museum in#Canberra. My 7yo is interested in Greek #mythology so she got to see Hekete & this statue of #Athene and was happy.

Although I think my favourite #Platonic divine etymology in the #Cratylus is Plato having Socrates say that #Athena/ #Athene means divine #Nous, the divine mind or intelligence. @OCRbot

#November is a month I personally dedicated to #Athena (or #Athene), the #Greek #goddess of #wisdom, good counsel, war, defense, #weaving, #pottery—the list goes on, really.

All month long, She's been encouraging me to create, create, CREATE. Under Her auspices, I've produced more #art in the last six days than I have in the past year!

She's also given me a better idea of who She is; She isn't the solemn, stoic goddess She's so often made out to be. She's a true #trickster, cut from the same cloth as #Hermes Lord! Athena is elusive, likening Herself "to all things" as #Odysseus says in #Homer's #Odyssey. I love and appreciate Her so so much! 🤍
