Last Monday evening aurora

I was going to un-fisheye it, but that looks poor at best since it realigns the reflections. The pixelated area is just to tone down some bright headlight flashes.

Plenty of vehicles, a boat and a plane.

Yesterday morning's aurora. I was both too tired to go out and I didn't want to wake anyone up, so it was out the window. As you can tell, the aurora was very strong, completely out of the top of the frame, even with a fisheye lens.

Cropped substantially and a quick distortion correction. Video in a couple of days. (I *finally* have a location to move my containers to, and that's tomorrow).

Sous le hashtag #AuroraBorealis il y'a des photos provenant d'un peu partout, du Canada à la Finlande. Par contre, notre #AuroresBoréales n'a pas connu d'activité ces dernières heures alors que le phénomène était observable depuis la France. Ça concerne aussi l'hémisphère sud, avec #AuroraAustralis.

The video animation of last night's aurora - not as good as the previous night.

Cut short to around 500 images due to the cloud rolling in and the aurora already fading at that point. You can see the other photographer leave with a flash to the left near the end. Also either many satellites went into shadow and/or there was a meteor shower at the far right.

Ok, 4 real quick, straight from the camera raw to your eyes, not processed beyond CaptureOne defaults.

Picked at random from the thumbnails - a few with the cloud showing how bright it was, and a later one after the cloud had moved.

Nature is impressive.

Seems there was a meteor shower towards the end, notice the streaks incoming at the right but unlike satellites, do not cross the image, simply vanish.

Welp. By pure chance I have some aurora timelapse to process from last night. I say chance because the alert was for the night before (and I missed it until the following day, and auroras don't wait).

But it's been quite hot here today (over 35c/96f at 4:30pm) so I haven't been keen to sit inside and process them yet. No AC here lol.

However we might be in for another treat tonight and/or tomorrow night. Fingers crossed.
