What is our #DangerNoodle doing this morning? Looks like it's awake and thinking about leaving the pot.

Spot the female Scarlet Honeyeater.

Potted python anyone?
Stepped out the back door this morning and glanced down in to one of the empty pot plant pots on the veranda, and there was a Carpet Python happily snoozing in the pot!

Who's this in the backyard eating our lawn?
Why it's our little Swamp Wallaby.
She's here most afternoons around dusk now. Clearly needing to really eat to help feed the joey.

On the driveway this morning, some very noisy Rainbow Lorikeets.
It seems the one on the left has a broken beak, but it didn't seem to be impeding its feeding.

Our little #SwampWallaby is back in our backyard this evening, and it looks like it might be a female with joey, given the bulging pouch. Can't tell for certain, but it appears that way.

Some #video footage of the same #SwampWallaby from the same wildlife camera.
Shows day and night footage.

While reviewing the wildlife camera footage this morning, I was presented with a random Wallaby #Butt

We had our semi-regular Wallaby visitor in the backyard again this evening. It was /just/ light enough to get some shots (well two frames from 10 were usable - 1/40th sec, iso3200, Æ’/1.8 @ 200mm)

A couple of fairly common birds from my walk in to work this morning.
An Australian Magpie, and a Masked Lapwing.

And finally, a surprise fly-over by a Peregrine Falcon. I got one shot only, and this is a bit of a heavy crop, but enough of the colouring came through to confirm the ID.

While at least one of the male Variegated Fairywrens has come in to its full colours, this one has not yet got there. You can just see some of the blue coming in to the head, but it'll be a week or two before this one is in breeding plumage.

Bonus #bird for the afternoon, since it was outside in front of the veranda a couple of minutes ago calling.
It is a #NoisyFriarbird and when it is calling, definitely lives up to its name.

In this early spring weather we're having at the moment, the Variegated Fairywrens and Brown Thornbills are becoming quite a regular occurrence around my yard.
Shown here, we have both the female and male #VariegatedFairywren and a #BrownThornbill up close (so close I had to take a step back to get it in focus).

Short walk on campus today. Not much about in the middle of the day, but here are some #NoisyMiner s having a drink, a #LaughingKookaburra just sitting around on a branch, an #EasternWaterDragon sunning itself on the lawn, and the underside of a #RainbowLorikeet

I was about to head downstairs to the workshop, when along came two King Parrots looking for a snack, so I put some seed out for them and settled back with the camera.
I think I need some form of complicated reflector setup for these afternoon shots, where the light is terrible on the feeder.

#echinda so blessed we had a special visitor today. I live on the edge of farmlands. Echidna eat insects especially ants. This one scared the cat, who is now safely locked in and Mr/Ms echidna is free to enjoy lunch in our garden #AustralianWildlife Such a privilege!! I have a video which is far too large to post!
Oh, I also saw a turtle. I had my phone out at the time, so this is a phone shot. By the time I went to grab the big camera, it has literally backflipped in to the water to get away from the scary photographer.

Oh, and a non-visual highlight of the walk, was coming across a pair of frogs, hidden under some rocks, happily calling away despite it being around 10 in the morning.
I've sent the recording off to #FrogID to be identified as I have no clue.

And the last to birds on the list, one of the pair of #PiedCurrawong that live in my backyard and pop in for sultanas every now and then, and a #TorresianCrow up in a tree over the creek.
