How common is it for #Autism to run in families? #AskingAutistic Are there #AutisticParent #AutisticParents groups? It could be that I’m just overwhelmed navigating the healthcare jungles between my #ADHD #ODD kids, chronic self & recently adding an in-law w/cancer/stroke on top of it all, but I am swimming in Symptom Soup and dunking in Diagnostic Punch trying to be an advocate for all of us so we can get the support/meds/tools/coverage we need. It’s just. fuck. It’s a lot.

It was my son's birthday party today. Even though I knew it would wipe me out I had to go cos ... it's my son! Obvs.
While it was great seeing and chatting with other parents I haven't seen in a year it does rather underline how my ability to mask has been eradicated by the pandemic. I have no idea how to talk to people any more. Or how to mask around others. Fortunately most of the parents are autistic too.
I'll be under a duvet for the next five days.
