I keep finding new applications for #Shortcuts #Automations and I keep making them more and more complex.

I hope I don’t lose my mind and forget what all of these do - I’ll be very confused watching my phone do a bunch of stuff on its own

So I’ve got an extra motion sensor. Anyone have cool #homeassistant #Automations they’d recommend?
I already have one in the main bedroom walk-in closet to turn on the light. And I have several lights that turn on at dusk, so I don’t need one solely for lighting a darkened room.
Other thoughts?

Does anyone have any suggestions for good #rss feed readers/aggregators? I am hoping to find one that will run on linux and that i can build some #automations such as keyword monitoring.

Even if it doesn't have automations built in but open enough for me to build my own with a scripting language would be nice.

I’m so bummed I didn’t try it sooner.
Not unlike #Mastodon, I thought the #automations would be hard to do or understand, but they were SIMPLE!
I was like, that was EASY !

I finally decided to learn how to do #Apple #automations on #iOS using the #shortcuts app (included w/ iOS.)
THEY ARE SO USEFUL !

One automation I made.
- When I plug in my charger, it auto shuts off #Bluetooth and #WiFi.
-Then it places the device into #Airplane mode (bc it charges faster that way, I think.)
- Then added an automation to do the same things in reverse (minus turning on Bluetooth).
- super lazy motivation!! Lolol. Hey, but it works.

These automations are so damn handy! 😀
