The snow packed against my house just settled and it was LOUD. Made me wonder about avalanche risks today. I checked the NW Avalanche center and my area is "only" Moderate. The thing is, of course, that it doesn't matter too much what the avi danger for your area is. What's important is the avi danger of the SLOPE YOU ARE ON.
