The virus found in two kinds of #cat food used at an affected cat shelter in #Seoul has now been confirmed as highly pathogenic #AvianInfluenza virus H5N1.
The contaminated cat food was produced without adequate sterilization because of a facility breakdown.
The government ordered the manufacturer to recall and destroy the products, and launched an inspection into all manufacturers of animal food using chicken, duck and other #meat.
